A plain-English guide to Certificates of Analysis, plus answers to the questions we hear most about orders, shipping, payments and memberships.
Every legitimate COA answers the same six questions. Here’s where to find each one.
The report should name the exact compound and the lot it tested. Match that lot number to the one printed on your vial label.
Usually measured by HPLC-UV. It’s the share of the sample that is the target compound. Elev-8 Labs’ standard is 99%+.
Confirms the molecule is the right compound, often by LC-MS comparing measured mass to expected mass. High purity of the wrong compound is still the wrong compound.
The measured amount in the vial, in mg. Compare it with the size on the label.
A dated, numbered report can be traced. Check that the date makes sense for the batch you received.
An independent third-party lab should be named on the report. Results graded by the seller alone carry less weight.
Not every report is what it looks like. These are the warning signs worth knowing, whoever you buy from.
Search our COA library by compound or lot number and open the full report.

HPLC-UV measures purity: what percentage of the sample is the target compound. LC-MS confirms identity: that the molecule’s mass matches the expected compound. Together they show a sample is both clean and correct. Read more on How We Test.
